Now that Ramadan is over and Essaouira is full of visitors -both Moroccan and international- we have decided to up the ante and to organize a few events such as film screenings, a mural painting and an art fair where you can discover and buy wonderful works created by emerging artists. And let’s not forget the dévernissage coming up on September 5th and the charity auction of original Air/port art works and flags (!) at Sofitel Mogador. We hope to see you at one or more of these events!

August 23:
• Outdoor Cinema: Woodstock (Michael Wadleigh)

An intimate look at the Woodstock Music & Art Festival held in Bethel, NY in 1969, from preparation through cleanup, with historic access to insiders, blistering concert footage, and portraits of the concertgoers; negative and positive aspects are shown, from drug use by performers to naked fans sliding in the mud, from the collapse of the fences by the unexpected hordes to the surreal arrival of National Guard helicopters with food and medical assistance for the impromptu city of 500,000.

An art fair that encourages the discovery of the artistic scene of Essaouira. It will be held at Bastion Bab Marrakech with multiple galleries and artists of Essaouira participating.
