Traid reclaims fashion together with Percival’s Olivia Hegarty

Ethical and suistainable fashion has polished up in recent years with labels such as Honest By, Reformation and Nurmi Clothing making it easier to choose items for the wardrobe that are somewhat friendly to the environment. TRAIDremade, part of United Kingdom’s charity chain TRAID has worked on reusing clothing since 2002 and has now teamed up with Olivia Hegarty from menswear brand Percival for a limited edition collection for men and women. The collaboration brings together the best of British: all the items are manufactured in UK from surplus fabrics donated to TRAIDremade by the factories and mills of luxury brands. The collection features classic items made from Percival’s patterns: a wool and cashmere mix pea coat, soft cotton check shirts and a playsuit and oversized wool blazers for women. The designer Olivia Hegarty notes that “good design matters because it has the power to make our clothes sustainable” – something that we can agree on.

The collection will be sold online and exclusively at Percival’s own shop at 43 Berwick Street, London from 9th of October. All proceeds from sales support TRAID’s charity initiatives.
